What Causes Watery And Bright Red Vaginal Discharge?

Hello, I have had for almost two weeks a thick sometimes chunky discharge. I went to the doctor who said that I had a bacterial infection and prescribed me some gel but that did not fix it. Then two days ago I got some dark bloody discharge which went a way for a day. This morning I got what looked like a period, with some clots but its so watery and bright (very unlike usual periods) that I'm still worried about the discharge. What could it be?
