Hello, I have very very runny eyes that tear up all the time particularly in the wind & late at night. I ve had a really bad cough & wheezing for 3 days & in those 3 days my right eye has been running more than usual. Today when I checked it in the mirror it s red & inflamed in the corner & around the rim. What s causing the constant tearyness & what s causing the redness today? Please help me!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be allergic conjunctivitis. Nothing much to worry as it will settle by simple conservatives measures. As first line management, you can try antihistamines like Cetirizine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
