Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Watery nasal discharge can be due to localized discharge or due to CSF leakage called CSF rhinorrhea. I suggest you to get the nasal discharge tested for beta transferrin. Presence of beta transferring is seen in CSF rhinorrhea else the condition is due to localized nasal discharge.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
