What Causes Watery Vaginal Discharge And Foul Smell?

Whenever I go to wipe my vagina there is a lot of brown specks that look almost like my skin is peeling but it's really not. And I also have discharge but it's watery looking I can barely see it. But when I go to sniff my underwear it reaks. It smells like old wet mold. Even after I get out the shower. A couple of hours later I go to use the bathroom and my vagina starts to smell again. I usually don't move around too much either. I dont know what to do. Everytime I go get checked for a yeast infection they tell me I either don't have it or they give me antibiotics that makes the yeast infection come back. Or itll go away for a month or so, then it'll end up coming back. Help me please. What is going on with my vagina.

Hello and thank you for your question. It sounds like you may be having bacterial vaginosis. That is a bacterial infection in the vagina that can cause a bad odor and some itching. Sometimes the antibiotics used to treat it can end up causing a yeast infection. Ask your doctor to try prescribing metronidazole gel instead of the tablets. Also try changing you diet around to have less sugars and starches and add a probiotic. These changes may help keep you from getting recurrent infections.
