Understand your concern
Painful erection called priapism. Following are the cause: thrombus formation in pelvic venous plexus,
sickle cell anemia,
hemolytic anemia, plaques, scarring of tunic albugenia,
spinal injury, leukemia etc,
Priapism may be associated with erection because of pain.
You should consult the
urologist for diagnosis after proper investigations like spinal anesthesia (priapism due to neurogenic cause disappear temporary), USG of penile area, blood picture, CBC, Hb.
Doctor may give following advice:
If prapism is persists. surgery in which
anastomosis of venous plexus should be done. Anti coagulant therapy, anti inflammatory and analgesic like ibuprufen or tramdol for 2 week, Treatment of respective cause.
If pain is relieved, and for weak erection following advice will help: Use condoms while during sex, be relax during sex, start daily regular exercise and medication, loose weight, pelvic exercise, you can take sildenafil plus paroxentine for erection 30-40 minutes before sex, mutual understanding with partner reduce anxiety.
