What Causes Weakness And Breathlessness While Climbing?

Sometimes after I climb up stairs fast, I feel weak all over, a little short of breath, but mostly, I just feel a sort of weakness, and don't feel well at all. I'll usually feel kinda of wiped out the rest of the day after one of these episodes. I am 65, and have had problems with anxiety before. Is this something I need to have checked ?
