What Causes Weakness And Headache After Suffering From Diarrhea?

Sunday night I vomited a lot and also had diarrhea, so I thought it was food poisoning. But I still am unable to exercise and fell bad. I am a little nauseous, feel thirst not much hunger except for smoothies and ice cream. I am extremely weak and have a mild headache.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Weakness is due to dehydration caused by losing electrolytes and fluids from vomiting and diarrhea. The same for headache.

You should keep well hydrated, increase water and juice intakes, especially in combination with oral rehydration salts.

Take pepto bismol or tasectan for diarrhea; probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora.

If still no improvement, should consult further with your caring doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
