What Causes Weakness In Arms And Tiredness After Getting An Anti-sickness Injection?

Hi I recently had surgery and was given an anti sickness injection on day of discharge as felt nauseous. I immediately felt tired(normal apparently) but felt a weakness in both arms that has persisted on and off since returning home. Had this after a procedure a few years ago but specialists thought it could have been the anaesthetic so have always had to mention with further ops. Never had a reaction again until now and can pinpoint was the anti sickness injection. I also taking Naproxen. Could it be I am allergic to something in the injection. The hospital had given me an anti sickness tablet about an hour before but it had no effect hence the injection. The last time I had this feeling it lasted about a week. Any advice appreciated. I am a 51 year old white female. 5ft 9 weighing 12 stone.

Hi,

Antisickness medication can cause side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, headache, anxiety, mood changes. Your side effects could have resulted due to anaesthetic side effects or also due to the anti-sickness medication. In case you face similar side effects after the anti-sickness medication, I would suggest you to avoid that particular drug. Other anti-sickness medication should be used to prevent any allergic reactions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
