What Causes Weakness In Left Arm During Pregnancy?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and I have been working all day. When I got home I rested on the couch. I am starting to have left arm weakness borderline achy feelings throughout the limb. Is this something I should be concerned about? I m thinking heart attack but I have no other symptoms and am otherwise completely healthy.

Hi,

There could be various causes for these symptoms. It is important to adopt appropriate posture to avoid strain on the neck or shoulders, make sure you do not have an infection by getting blood tests and also getting blood pressure checked to make sure you do not have high blood pressure.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu, Orthopedic Surgeon
