What Causes Weakness In Legs And Loss Of Balance In A Diabetic?

weakness in legs ,arms, lifting things legs give out, legs feel heavy, lose balance. walking leaning to one side .hard getting up from chair, bed and if on knees almost impossible to get up. I get hot, sweeting, Have diabetes but very controlled. have diabetics nerobathy.

Weakness in legs & imbalance are related to Diabetic Neuropathy. it depends on the duration of Diabetes as well. very rarely patients who have well controlled sugars can also develop neuropathy. The other symptoms you have mentioned may be due to Diabetic neuropathy or due to decreased vitamin B12 levels. best advice at this point is to get a nerve conduction study done along with serum vitamin B12 estimation.
