What Causes Weakness In The Knees While On Antibiotics?

I was given an antibiotic for a uti and had an allergic reaction. I had weakness in my knees and would have fallen if I hadn t kept moving (this happened several years ago). Now I can t remember what it is I m allergic to, Any ideas? Never mind. Not going to pay ahead without knowing if it s money well spent.

Hi & Welcome.
You seem to be allergic to Fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin which are commonly prescribed in the treatment urinary tract infection.
The most important and serious side effects of these antibiotics include cartilage damage, tendonitis or rupture of tendons which you seemed to had several years ago.
