What Causes Weakness In The Legs After Insertion Of Cardiac Stents?
I m recovering from blocked ascending artery with placement of 2 stents (eluding) and taking brillinta, metoprolo, lisinoprol, crestor. While I m no longer having angina, my muscles at feel very weak and at times my leg muscles begin shaking and I get the feeling that knees will buckle. could this be due to the meds/which one?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Crestor is a statin and can cause muscle aches or pain, it is not usually associated with weakness. Fatigue can sometimes occur with Metoprolol. None of the medicines are associated with trembling of the legs or weakness in the knees, though persons react differently to medication. It may be best to speak to your doctor about your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
