What Causes Weakness On Ankles After Delivery?

my right ankle is weak and I have only noticed this after a year from giving birth. On my pregnancy I suffered swelling up. Does this caused damaged to the tissue of my right ankle. (Example when I get up in the morning I couldn't stand straight on my right side of leg as the ankle is weaker and seems a bit sensitive.
