What Causes Weakness, Tiredness And Painful Lump On Head?

For a while now on my head (crown) there is an lump formed that only gets worse/sorer at night time. It is really tender to touch, brush my hair etc. The past few months I have been feeling horrible with no energy and tired all the time. I went to the doctors months ago and was told they couldn t see or feel anything and told it was probably a fungal infection. I m really worried about this, can someone help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Kindly check your blood sugar levels.High blood sugar levels can cause boils or lumps anywhere in the body and can increase the risk of fungal infections. Antibiotics should be taken to reduce infection. Trim the hair if required. Any history of fever, discharge from the lump, sudden increase in size warrants the clinical examination by a physician.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
