What Causes Weight Gain Along With Dry Skin, Itching And Fatigue?

recently quit smoking after 60 yrs; I am 77. colon cancer 2009, chemo six months. increasing neuropothy in hands, feet,lower legs. some spine issues - refused surgery. slight circulation problem right leg. have wgt gain, hair loss, dry skin, intense itching, fatigue , loss of interest (depression?). Should I get test for hypothyroid?
