What Causes Weight Gain And Black Spot On Right Cheek?

Hello Doctor, I wasn t having any problem with my skin until i came back from London 3 years ago. I put on weight while coming back to india. Now i have a black spot on right cheek, i am not sure whether it came because of putting on weight but it has come as soon as i was in India. I consulted Kaya clinic 1 year before and they have done pigmentation treatment almost 10 sittings but nothing has improved and it costs around 30k for me. Now i consulted a dermatologist recently he told me to use Novo white daily twice and 3-Dentan while sleeping. Appreciate if you could suggest me. Thanks in Advance

Hi,

Dark spot could be related to weight gain.I would recommend you to get your thyroid function tests, serum insulin levels and fasting blood sugar levels.
