General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your question. * All of your breathing & chest problems are due to hazards of smoking for 35 years.smoking causes changes in air way/lung tissue & causes bronchitis. You should get yourself examined by a chest physician. Undertake all investigations advised by him( CBC, X ray chest, respiratory function tests, sputum examination-) After this a specific treatment will be advised ,this will relieve you. * As far as the weight gain is concerned withdrawal symptoms of cigarette smoking lead to increased food carvings, specially for sweets. You should try to control it by having a low caloric diet & exercises. Thanks.
