General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
You are absolutely right
Practin is an anti-allergic medicine but it has quality or side effect like gaining weight.
It increases appetite leading to weight gain, so sometimes doctor prescribes this medicine to gain weight.
As an antihistamine it can produce drowsiness as well.
If there is no disturbing problem you can continue.
Ok and take care.
