What Causes Weight Gain And Hair Fall While On Synthroid?

I have been on synthroid for 6 years. I have told my Dr. and ask my dr. about my constant weight gain, hair thinning, sweating, hot flashes and each time it is all dismissed as early menopause and nothing to worry about. I m picking up a copy of my medical records tomorrow. What should I be look for in my labs?

It could be a sign of hypothyroidism. You can go for a thyroid function test and make necessary adjustments in your drug schedule.
