What Causes Weight Gain And Sensations In Abdomen While On Depo Shots?

Been feeling kicks in my stomach for over a month. Has me concerned now. I started the depo shot, which since my first shot, I haven t had a period. I ve had two children, with my youngest being 8 months, so i know what kicks feel like.I took a pregnancy test, it came back negative. ive gained 8pounds since getting the shot, i have heahaches, and I m stress and always tired. Am I preganant?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
The symptoms you are complaining of like weight gain, menstrual disturbances, sensations in abdomen and headache are all side effects due to depo shot. Many of them experience such symptoms during the first few doses of the shots. Gradually, there symptoms reduce and can be tolerated too. It takes some time for the body to get adjusted to such preparations.
However, in case the symptoms become intolerable or fresh symptoms appear to bother you, then such preparations might not be suitable for you.
You can consult Gynecologist in this regard to explore for other options that would suit you to achieve contraception.
