What Causes Weight Gain Post Withdrawal Of Vyvanse?

Is it common to gain a significant amount of weight after you stop taking vyvanse (and was taking it for several years)? My daughter gained 40 pounds over the last 6 months when she had to stop taking vyvanse due to our high deductible insurance plan.

hello user , i understand your concerns. vyanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a stimulant drug and yes it is common to have a rebound increase in appetite and weight gain after stopping it -especially after chronic administration and abrupt stopping - these symptoms can last upto few months - so you can consult a dietician for a balanced diet plan to follow strctly - also physical exercise atleast 30 mins daily should be done . Take care
