What Causes Weight Gain, Tiredness And Constant Feet Pain?

55 yrs old and in the last year have gained 25 pounds no matter what I do. I go to work and am so tired I come home and take a hour nap. My feet hurt constantly and my right leg swells off and on for no reason. have had it checked out several times for a blood clot. No one can figure it out.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

With such symptoms you should get thyroid profile to rule out hypothyroidism as well as renal and liver functions for other causes of swelling including albumin levels and urinalysis for any albuminuria.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
