What Causes Weight Gain While Taking Zoely Birth Control Pill?
Taking Zoely ( weight gain about 15lbs) birth control pill for over a year having problems with my weight gain. Perviously on Quilara before Zoely( small weight gain about 4lbs) Before those two on Marvelon for many years. I am 39 years old Mom of two, 5.7 active , blood work normal , tirod normal. My normal weight 123-125lbs with about 18.5%BMI. Can I go back to Marvelon?

Zoely is a combined contraceptive pill and it contain estrogen and progesterone as active ingredients. Weight gain can happen with combined pill and it is a usual side effect of combined contraceptive pill.
You can consult your gynecologist and switch to progesterone only pill which has got more efficacy and will not cause weight gain.
