What Causes Weight Gain,puffy Face And Scanty Periods?

Hi Dr, How are you? I just have a health query for you and was wondering if you could help. I am sure that a gland somewhere is not working in my body but I don t know which.The symptoms are: unusual weight gain,puffy face, moon face,scant periods sometimes once every 3 months,tingling in the little fingers of both arms, depression,scalp hair loss,facial hair growth,difficulty swallowing throat feels blocked, feeling cold a lot,sometimes lose balance on feet,seeing a dot through my eyes.I would be delighted if you could revert to me, Kind Regards,Erin.

Hi

The cause of irregular periods such as polycystic ovaries,obesity and hypothyroidism should be treated effectively.

FSH and LH are often both in the range of about 4-8 in young fertile women.These levels should be evaluated.Pelvic ultrasound,TSH, Free T3,T4 levels should also be tested.
