What Causes Weight Loss After Removal Of Small Portion From Small Intestine?

Hi I m 23 years old and when I was 15 I had surgery and had 7 feet of my small intestine removed. And now it s really hard to gain weight. Bc the small intestine absorbed protein calories and other things. My question is what the best way that I can gain weight.

Difficulty in gaining weight can be due to mal-absorption of nutrients like vitamin B 12 and folic acid. I suggest you to get serum levels of vitamin B 12 and folic acid. In case of deficiency, supplements need to be taken to correct the deficiency.
