General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

For this tiring hiccups I recommend you going in emergency center as there are treatments such as Chlorpromazine that could stop it. Weight loss of your husband is related with loss of appetite happening because of some substances produced by body against cancer and from chemotherapy treatment which he hasn't started yet. Also, the pressure of mass to the stomach has its effect on eating less.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Julinda Maksuti, General Surgeon
