General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what your daughter had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, It can be due to thyroid disease itself or over-treating with Thyroxine due to indirect increase in basal metabolic rate.
However, keeping the history of focal segment glomerulonephritis history, it's important to monitor her renal functions because kidney involvement may also cause a decrease in protein mass and general weight reduction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
