What Causes Weird And Uncomfortable Feeling In Nipples?

basically a couple of days ago my nipples started to feel weird, I made them sore for rubbing on them because the feeling was irritating me, I was due on but come on late so I was thinking maybe it is because I m due on but I ve come on my period now and it still hasn t gone. That same day I banged my left breast on my living room door handle, it really hurt and since then I ve had a weird feeling in my nipple that is getting annoying now, when I wear a bra I don t feel it as much but when I take it off it feels really weird and I start messing with it and press my nipple down because I want to get rid of the feeling. Its been a week now, and I m getting worried, I want the feeling to go. My right nipple is fine. I don t know whether its in my head when I think about it then the feeling comes or whether it is there?

Hi,

Welcome to health care magic

I understand your concerns about hard sore or weird feeling over nipples.

This happens due to hormonal changes in a cycle or infection of the nipple.

These changes are seen commonly during the premenstrual part of the cycle and suggest of hormones effects.

If pain is not much you can ignore it as in majority of cases this may subside by their own within couple of weeks.

Otherwise you can take progesterone medicines if pain is unbearable with antihistamines and pain killers gel or cream.

You will need a prescription for the progesterone so you can talk to your Gynecologist about that.
