What Causes Weird Growth On My Left Tonsil?

I have what looks like to me some weird growth on my left tonsil, it looks like a mass of white yellowish pus, I noticed it about 4-5 months ago when I had a sore throat, I took a photo of it then, but don t know how long before then I had it, I noticed it again today, and took another picture of it, not sure what it is, but I m really worried about cancer.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history about weird looking mass on the tonsil now for 5 months old.
If this is cancer you have lost 5 months and may be this can get transformed into further advanced stage,.
You should have and now should immediately consult an ENT Surgeon to get a clinical evaluation, investigations and entrapment done
IF cancer is suspected this has to be removed and tested.
Further treatment will depend upon the investigations.
IF this is due to chronic infection , it will get OK with a course of an Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines and supportive and asymptomatic treatment.
Ids the suspicion continues, it is best to go for removal and confirmation.
