Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The most common cause of toe numbness is direct compression of the nerves of the foot from footwear from shoes.
Numbness of the toe can occur also because of injury to the foot.
You can give him Tylenol and change his shoes.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
