What Causes Weird Vaginal Discharge Along With Bad Odour?

I was with my boyfriend earlier and we started to mess around (mutual masturbation), after he finished he rubbed his seamen that was on his hand on my vaginia. His sperm was mixed with my discharge from being aroused (being wet ) and when I had finished I had smelled my fingers/hand and it had a slight smell of raw egg, not a rotton smell at all but a light smell of raw egg. And I had even asked him to smell his hand and he said I smelt normal to him that he didn t smell a raw egg smell. I ve never smelt that before (being self conscious, before/during some type of sexual act I do a quick check to made sure I smell alright down there) I ve never gotten a fishy smell or rotton smell at most if I didn t happen to shower that day sometimes I ll smell a little ripe but not in a way that grosses myself or my boyfriend out. My question is what s up with the raw egg smell that i smelt? Could it have been the mixture of both of us that made that smell, or could it have been his seamen, or maybe it was just me? What does that mean? I m not in pain or itchy, it doesn t burn when I use the bathroom. I did happen to use a wipe for the first time that my friend gave me. It was a summers eve freshener up wipe, but I had used that earlier in the day and I took a shower a couple of hours later and I m sure I washed that off...so I m really curious. I m not scared or nervous about it since my boyfriend didn t seem to notice that I was smelling. When I came home I used to the restroom to pee and wiped myself up really good a couple of times and I don t smell the raw egg smell anymore. If you could shed some light on this for me it would stop me from wondering what s going on or what had happened. I tired looking online to see if I could find something similar but all the questions I saw had to do with foul order or weird discharge which I have either of those going on with me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Mild changes in the vaginal odor or a minimal amount of white discharge can commonly occur in most women. Vaginal fluid changes can occur with respect to changes in your menstrual cycle. White discharge post periods can occur as a part of normal physiology. In case of foul smelling discharge, greenish discharge or blood tinged discharge, any vaginal infections should be identified and treated.

I would suggest you to take a vaginal smear to rule out any vaginal infections in case of persisting white discharge.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
