What Causes Wetting Of Clothes During Day And Night Time?

My 16 year old son was recently diagnosed with an impacted colon. At the same time I was informed that he has been wetting himself during the day and night since approx age 7-9, He also has some serious depression and unusual behaviors. He is now undergoing a psych evaluation and it was mentioned that he may have bi-polar. Is itpossible that he might benefit from a nuerological evaluation in order to rule out any nuerological issues that might be contributing to the problems he is having? Are these issues connected?
