What Causes Wheezing Along With Shortness Of Breath And Dizziness?

My son is 13 and has recently been having asthma symptoms ( wheezing, chest pressure, unable to catch breath) for the first time in a year. He has always had it associated with colds but now it is exercise induced. After asthma attacks he seems to get dizzy or vertigo for a few hours, which then kicks off reflux, small regurgation, and misery. Any clues why he gets these clusters of symptoms.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

He can prevent an allergic reaction by using inhaled aerosol before the physical activity. The after attack symptoms can get better if you use corticosteroids.

He can lay down with head elevated to prevent vertigo and regurgitation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
