My son is 15 weighing 200 lbs and 5feet 10 in. He has had asthma since 3 yrs old Hasn t needed an actual nebula we treatment in like 2 years Doing much better until he got a cold and now he is weezing pretty bad we take 5 mg Cingular and he has the powder form of albuterol inhaler. Just wanting to get thru the night till he can see dr for a treatment in the am. My liquid put acorn and albuterol was expired so I threw them away. Can he take 4 puffs every 4 hrs they the night. His usual dose is 2 puffs but since he is weezing badly can we increase to 4 puffs? You can definitely tell when it is wearing off due to increased weezing but 2-3 puffs isn t stopping the weezing. His caughing isn t too bad.
