What Causes Wheezing In Upper Throat?

I have wheezing from my upper throat, no fever, no confession, in has lasted about 5 weeks, deep breathing is ok. I seen a doctor 2 weeks, he gave acid reflect medicine, no help. When I go outside in the cold the wheezing greatly decreases. I believe I have upper respiratory infection.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of wheezing in upper throat which is because of persistence of infection which leads to destruction of normal flora bacteria normally living in our body which makes body further susceptible for infection and infection occur due to weakened immune system. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe stronger antibiotics azithromycin and anti-inflammatory for longer duration. For now do betadine gargles 2-3 times a day. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Use mist humidifiers in room.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
