What Causes Wheezing Post Tonsillectomy?

Hi, I am 2 months post tonsillectomy, on a daily basis i am choking on my own saliva and then notice i am wheezing and constantly trying to clear my lungs to stop wheezing. I want to know what this is from and if I am aspirating and should i seek further evaluation?

This may be a gastric reflux problem with aspiration of gastric acid or a sinus infection with postnasal drip
