What Causes Wheezing While Coughing?

I have had a cold for about a week. I have a cough and it makes a whistling noise. I don t have a fever I am able to work and I feel pretty good but my cough is loud and screeching whistling noise? Is this bad or normal. I m 58 had my flu shot with no underlying health care issues

Hello,

Cough with wheezing may be due to bronchial asthma, or acute bronchitis may be due to viral or bacterial infection. Allergy itself may cause above problems, avoid cool drinks and freeze water, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet dyphylline twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
