What Causes White And Painful Bump In Frenulum After Having Oral Sex?
I had performed oral sex with my girlfriend while my tongue was a little sore a few days ago. Now there's a white bump in the middle of my frenulum that makes it hard for me to move my tongue and it really hurts. I have trouble swollowing now to . So is it something that I should be concerned with ?
As per your explanation a white bump over the frenulum under the tongue can be a traumatic ulcer caused by some physical trauma like by some hard food or even during oral sex due to over stretching of tongue.. It can also be a canker sore.. As it is painful you can apply a numbing gel containing Choline salicylate or Lignocaine over the ulcer for reducing pain and discomfort.. Do soda bicarb gargles.. Use an antimicrobial mouthwash for gargling to prevent infections and maintain a better oral hygiene.. For reducing pain over the counter anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen [ advil or motrin] can be taken. The ulcer will hopefully resolve in 4 to 5 days but in case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
