What Causes White And Yellowish Discharge After Using Canesten Cream?

Hi i started using the six day canesten cream which comes with the applicator as directed by the doctor to treat the itiching and soreness around the opening of the viginal area. Prior to using this i did not have any discharge, but after using this i am experiencing white and yellowish discharge with quite strong smell. Is this normal to expect?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Yellowish discharge and foul odour you mentioned can be due to bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection can coexist also. A swab test will be helpful to rule out this. For such cases i usually advice using vaginal suppository with combination of clotrimazole and clindamycin. Using intimate regularly will be helpful to restore the normal bacterial flora and PH also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
