Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have small white bumps on the inside of my upper lip. I initially assumed they were blisters from my high fever but they re very small and I ve been throwing up so I now I m thinking it has something to do with that. They aren t canker sores or cold sores. I know what those feel like, so what are they?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns. White bumps on the inside of the lip that are very small and does not cause any discomfort as well as are not appearing like sores or blisters seems to be most probably due to hypertrophied sebaceous glands. They appear as small clusters and are known as Fordyce's spots.
They are not pathological and does not need any specific treatment like removal of the same until they are extremely uncomfortable or cosmetically unsighty. It does not seems to be related to throwing up, So no need to worry about it. I would still suggest you to get a clinical examination done by a dentist for further confirmation.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks and regards, Dr. Honey Nandwani Arora
