What Causes White Color Skin Above Ingrown Nail?

i have been taking Antibiotics for My ingrown toenail and noticed that on top of my toe above the ingrown nail the skin turned white a little and I thought it was dead skin and peeled it off by below it on my skin it is white too... Is it something to be worried about or is it just a side affect..?

hi. i have read your question and understand your concern.

the white skin that you are talking about is just due to ingrown toe nail. you need not worry about it. ingrown toe nail leads to overgrown paronychia (which is the tissue adjacent to nail). this overgrown paronychia can present as skin, red or white coloured tissue.

though you need not worry about that white tissue, i suggest you still get axamined by a dermatologist for your ingrown toe nail and get treated.
