Understanding your concern. As per your query facial hair on chin and upper lip after menopause is mainly due to PCOS i.e polycystic ovary syndrome. I would suggest you to start with oral contraceptive pills as it will regularize your menstrual cycles and decrease hair growth. You should use spironolactone as it is anti androgen. You can start with eflornithine cream, electrolysis and laser treatment as well. I would suggest you to visit gynecologist once and get it examined. Go for tests such as Ultrasound pelvis, DHEAS to find out exact cause of your condition and can start treatment accordingly. Avoid exposure to sun light. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
