What Causes White Foam Inside Mouth And Dry Lips?

I have white foam inside my mouth and my lips keep getting very dry. I have been on a couse of antibiotics for sinus infection which completed seven days ago. I wonder if the medication that I have been taking has anything to do with it as I had four lots of antibiotics in the space of on month.

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain the white foam inside your mouth which seems to be white cheesy layer on the tongue and lips and dryness of mouth and lips can be due to yeast infection and is known as ORAL CANDIDIASIS or ORAL THRUSH which is an opportunistic infection and it can be due to long term intake of antibiotics as antibiotics can damage the normal bacteria present in mouth that are responsible for preventing supernumerary infections.

Dryness of mouth and lips also occurs due to thrush...

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Pathologist and get evaluated and in case it is oral thrush oral intake of antifungal medicines like Fluconazole and Oral rinses with Nystatin can relieve..

Add probiotics like curd and garlic in your diet to be taken frequently as they help in relieving the infection..
