What Causes White Lines Running Vertically On The Tip Of Tongue?

I have have white lace like lines (5) running vertical on the tip of my tongue. I notice it more in the evening/night and it began a week or two ago more regularly. Although, I have randomly seen this before on my tongue in the past on occasion and thought I may need water or a nutrient. I am very hydrated so, I now know it is not due to dehydration.
