What Causes White Mucus In The Eyes?
My wife has had a cold for the past few days. With a on and off fever and severe sore throat. But her eyes started to discharge a white mucus today. We have tried all types of medicine to clear it up and wait times to be seen at the er is over 9 hrs. Do you have tips or insight of what she might have?

The presence of mucus discharge indicates infection of the eyes in the form of conjunctivitis.
This is because of spread of infection from respiratory tract to involve the eye.
