Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just went to the dentist after about 2 years and had a thorough cleaning. I was concerned because I had white pockets on both sides of my mouth under my jaw. The dentist said I just needed a cleaning because my teeth looked good and I had no cavities. I'm aware hat there was a lot of plaque buildup. The pockets are not going away. Will they in time? I'm very concerned.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of white pockets under jaw which seems to be due to periodontal abscess as deposition of bacteria and calculus occurs and could be due to tonsils infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit dentist/ oral and maxillofacial surgeon once and get it examined completely and start treatment accordingly. You should go for scaling and root cleaning and maintain complete hygiene. Take proper course of antibiotics. Avoid sharp stick food. You should take Tramadol which is stronger than Ibuprofen along with Azithromycin. Do gargles with betadine and warm saline rinses. Drink plenty of water after every meal and brush and floss regularly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
