What Causes White Raised Bumps On The Bottom Of The Foot?

I m trying to figure out if these white spots on the bottom of my sons toes are warts. They are slightly raised. Some have a little dark dot in the center. He says they were sore but now he s used to them. (He s 8 years old and not much of a complainer) He s had some warts on his leg before that were treated with immunotherapy but they look like they ve come back. They do nothing NOT look like these things on the toes. He was complaining of blisters on the 2 big toes a few weeks ago and at that time there were just 2 and they were pink. I didn t think anything of it. They now are on almost every toe and I m feeling like a terrible parent because I originally assumed they were just blisters. I wanted to attach a picture but I can t figure out how to do it. Can warts spread that quickly?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This can be plantar warts or molluscum (unlikely if it is totally on under-surface of soles, and not on skin). Warts usually have a rough surface, while molluscum have smooth one. Kindly consult a dermatologist and show the affected area for an accurate diagnosis. Avoid pricking these, as it will cause spread to surroundings and fresh lesions to appear.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
