General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Fungal infections of the scalp can cause a scaly appearance. It may also be due to seborrheic dermatitis, this is another common cause as well. Using ketozal shampoo, may help.

There is additional treatment if this is not effective. You may want to consider seeing a different dermatologist for an assessment and for treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
