What Causes White Spot On Inner Thigh And Near Genital Area?

I recently noticed a small white spot on my inner thigh. It has now spread and I have several patches in about a 6-inch area. It is very near the genital area, but I haven't found anything like it on the actual genitals. I live in the South and it's very hot, and I walk in the evenings, which sometimes prompts heat rashes, but this looks different. There is slight itching, but only if I touch it. I'm 41, female, overweight, and not sexually active.
