What Causes White Spots And Soreness In Gums After The Intake Of Alcohol?
Basically i am a bit of a gym freak, and i go months without drinking alcohol, but when i do 'break' i do overdo it and have a few heavy nights out in a couple of weeks then go back to being a health freak, the problem comes pretty much at the end of every one of these short bursts of heavy drinking, my gums will be sore and have white marks that look and feel like cuts, im just concerned as to what causes this? Could it be something specific i drink? I try to drink spirits as you can get in a state without downing too many calories... help?
The most probable reason for the spots in the gums is a deficiency of B complex vitamins. Heavy alcohol consumption depletes the B complex vitamins in the body, which causes lesions in gums, lips or other mucosal surfaces. Taking vitamin B complex supplements will solve your problem.
Best wishes.
